Mr. Dowling asked the Minister for Defence if members of the Defence Forces accompanied the Timoney APC to Belgium; the number of members; their ranks; and the cost. Flanagan 366 Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Defence (Mr. Begley): One commandant and two sergeants of the [366] Permanent Defence Force accompanied the vehicle in question to Belgium. The only expenditure involved for my Department was the cost of travel and subsistence in the case of the commandant who was sent to attend the demonstration of the vehicle in Belgium as an observer. The amount of this expenditure was £55.59. Mr. Dowling Mr. Dowling Mr. Dowling: Is this the same vehicle that will be on display next Wednesday in the barracks?
