Mr. Gogan asked the Minister for Local Government if he will ask Dublin Corporation to revise the scheme of polling stations, in view of the large number of complaints at the last local government elections to the effect that voters had to travel long distances to the stations designated although other stations were nearer.

Minister for Local Government (Mr. Tully): The making of a polling scheme for Dublin county borough is a function reserved to the elected members of the corporation. I have no [827] indication that the present scheme is unsuitable but if the Deputy considers that changes are desirable I suggest that he should first raise the matter with his colleagues on the corporation.
