1. Mr. Lemass asked the Taoiseach if he will establish a single governmental institution to deal with environmental problems.

Parliamentary Secretary to the Taoiseach (Mr. Kelly): Environmental problems arise as an integral part of the work of many Departments and agencies of Government. Arrangements for co-ordination on environmental matters between the organisations concerned have recently been strengthened and will be kept under review.

2. Mr. Lemass asked the Taoiseach if he has any statistics on the interest of the Irish public in their environment.
