27. Dr. Gibbons asked the Minister for Local Government if Galway County Council and Ballinasloe Urban Council will remove the weir on the River Suck at Ballinasloe, County Galway, as there is no need for it now because a new sewerage system has been installed there.

Mr. Boland: I understand that the local authorities mentioned have no power to remove the weir referred to by the Deputy.
