Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Repayment of British Post-War Credits.

10. Mr. Russell asked the Minister for External Affairs if he can give information regarding the repayment date of British post-war credits to Irish residents.

Mr. MacEntee (for the Minister for External Affairs): British post-war credits are payable to Irish residents when they reach the qualifying age, which is 63 for men and 58 for women; in the case of widows, entitled to credits in their own right, they are payable at any time after the 4th April, 1960; and, in the case of a deceased person who was entitled to credits, they are payable to the personal representative or to a beneficiary or other person to whom the credits [7] of the deceased person have been validly assigned.
