Mr. T.F. O'Higgins asked the Minister for Justice whether he intends to introduce proposals for legislation to amend the law relating to contributory negligence.

Minister for Justice (Mr. Traynor): This matter is under consideration but I am not at present in a position to say when a decision will be reached.

Mr. M.J. O'Higgins: Would the Minister say if the matter is under active consideration and if a decision might be reached reasonably soon?

Mr. Traynor: I could not say that because there are other law reform measures which are regarded as having priority over this.
