Written Answers. - Seed Distribution Scheme.

Mr. O'Donnell asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will ensure that a sufficient supply of seed oats will be made available during the coming spring to the small farmers in the Dunfanaghy district of County Donegal.

Mr. Walsh: I take it that the Deputy refers to the seed distribution scheme for congested areas which is operated [170] by my Department. The quantity of seed oats allocated for distribution in the Dunfanaghy area during the coming spring should be ample for the purpose of the scheme, which is to provide a change of seed for smallholders in the area in which it operates.
