Dr. Ryan asked the Minister for Local Government whether it is the intention of the Government to hold Local Government elections during the present year.

Mr. Murphy Mr. Murphy

Mr. Murphy: I do not propose to make an Order appointing a day for the holding of local elections until the House has had an opportunity of reviewing the whole question of county management.

Ample notice will be given before the day of election is appointed.
