Mr. A. Byrne asked the Minister for Justice if any decision has been arrived at with reference to the claims of the Gárda Síochána for increases in their present rates of pay.

Minister for Agriculture (Dr. Ryan) (for Minister for Justice): The representations on this subject which have recently been received from the Gárda Síochána Representative Body are receiving consideration, and when a decision thereon has been arrived at it will be conveyed in the usual manner to the Commissioner.
