Mr. O'Neill (for Mr. Daly) Mr. O'Neill (for Mr. Daly) 325 Mr. O'Neill (for Mr. Daly) asked the Minister for Lands if, in view of the large number of unemployed in the district [325] of Fermoy and the large amount of lands available for forestry, he will take steps to acquire these lands for planting. Minister for Lands (Mr. Boland) Gerald Boland Minister for Lands (Mr. Boland): An area of 990 acres is being acquired for forestry purposes at Ballyhooly, about four miles from Fermoy, and possession of the lands will be taken as soon as the sale proceedings have been completed. The question of acquiring other lands nearer to Fermoy is also under consideration. There are already two forest centres not far from Fermoy, one at Kilworth, five miles north of it, and one at Killavullen, about seven miles west of the town. Dáil Éireann 67 Ceisteanna—Questions.
