Dáil Éireann - Volume 49 - 28 September, 1933 Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Charges Against Farmers. Mr. Wall Mr. Wall Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Justice if he will state what charge is being preferred against the nine County Waterford farmers who have been in prison for over a fortnight; if he proposes to bring them to trial, and, if so, when. Mr. Ruttledge Mr. Ruttledge 1793 Mr. Ruttledge: It is not any part of the duty of the Minister for Justice to decide matters of this kind. I understand, however, that the persons mentioned will be brought before the Constitution (Special Powers) Tribunal on Monday next, and that they have already been served with notices stating fully the offence alleged against them, which is, shortly, membership of an unlawful association having amongst its objects the advocacy of non-payment [1793] of rates. I understand from the Attorney-General that another charge is also under consideration. Dáil Éireann 49 Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. Charges Against Farmers. Questions 19330928
