Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Irish Lights Service.

Mr. Lemass asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce to state what progress has been made in the negotiations concerning the transfer of the Irish Lights Service, and when he anticipates that control of this service will be taken over by the Saorstát Government.

Mr. Blythe: Negotiations were necessarily suspended pending the coming into office of the new Government in Great Britain, but I have recently been in communication with that Government in order to expedite the matter.

[2743] I cannot at present indicate a date when the negotiations will be concluded.
