Dáil Éireann - Volume 40 - 25 November, 1931

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Turbary on Clare Estate.

Pádraig O hOgáin (An Clár) asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state what decision has been reached by his Department in respect of the application of some thirty-five tenants for turbary on the estate of John Bianconi, Craghera, Kildysart, Co. Clare, where there are over fifty acres of turbary available for division.

Mr. Roddy: The Land Commission are making inquiries as to what turbary is available on this estate for the accommodation of the applicants for turbary thereon with a view to the framing of regulations under Section 21 of the Irish Land Act, 1903, and Section 42 of the Land Act, 1923.

Mr. Hogan: Is that a paraphrase of the letter of the 6th June, 1930?

Mr. Roddy: I have not seen the letter. The Deputy ought to be able to judge.

Mr. Hogan: It is a very good paraphrase of it.

[1998] Mr. Roddy: That is the position at all events.
