Mr. Briscoe Mr. Briscoe Mr. Briscoe asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce to state if he still confirms the success of the Drumm Battery and to what causes he attributes the delay in the running of the experimental train between Dublin and Bray. Mr. McGilligan Mr. McGilligan Mr. McGilligan: The claims made for the battery are being confirmed by experience and are not affected by the slow delivery of parts and equipment for the coaches in which it is to be used. Mr. McGilligan Mr. McGilligan Mr. McGilligan: I cannot say when. Mr. Briscoe Mr. Briscoe Mr. Briscoe: Can the Minister say how long he expects these delays to occur with regard to the delivery of the parts? Mr. McGilligan Mr. McGilligan Mr. McGilligan: I did not say that there has been any delay yet. Mr. Briscoe Mr. Briscoe Mr. Briscoe: Is the Minister not aware that the public have been expecting tests of this battery? Mr. McGilligan Mr. McGilligan Mr. McGilligan: The public may have been misled by people who speak without authority. Mr. Briscoe Mr. Briscoe Mr. Briscoe: Was the Minister for Justice speaking without authority when he made certain statements in Mayo on 11th August? Mr. Gilligan Mr. Gilligan Mr. Gilligan: I cannot say until I see what he said. Mr. Briscoe Mr. Briscoe Mr. Briscoe: Will the Minister promise to look up the “Western People” or the “Mayo News” of August 16th?
