Mr. Lemass Mr. Lemass Mr. Lemass asked the Minister for Finance it the Free State's share of the balance at 31st March, 1922, of the Road Fund of the late United Kingdom has yet been determined, and, if not, to state when it is anticipated the arbitration proceedings will be concluded, and further, to state the amount received to date by the Free State Treasury under this head and if any additional payment are anticipated in the present financial year. Minister for Finance (Mr. Blythe) Ernest Blythe Minister for Finance (Mr. Blythe): The Free State's share of the balance at 31st March, 1922, of the Road Fund of the late United Kingdom has not yet been finally determined. It is not possible to predict when the arbitration proceedings will be concluded. The sum of £200,000 has been received up to date on account of the Free State's share of the balance of the Fund and it is hoped that the arbitration proceedings will be concluded in sufficient time to enable the balance still remaining due to be paid over in the current financial year.
