Mr. Law asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether recent inspection of the pier at Magherallon, County Donegal, showed that this pier was in need of certain repairs; and, if so, whether he will cause such repairs to be carried out; and also, if it appears advisable, a protection wall erected on the more exposed side thereof.

Mr. Lynch: The repairs required at Magherallon Pier will be carried out as soon as the present salmon drift-net fishing closes. I am advised that a protection wall, such as is suggested by the Deputy, is not considered necessary or advisable.
