Mr. E. Doyle asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether his Department has received a copy of a resolution passed by the General Council of County Councils requesting him to introduce proposals for legislation legalising contributions by local bodies towards fire brigades [2175] in the Free State; if so, can he state what action he intends to take in the matter; and if he is aware that the Carlow County Council unanimously decided to contribute money to a fire brigade in Carlow.
