Tomás O Maoláin asked the Minister for Justice whether, in view of the weakened state of health of George Mooney and Seán McGuinness, who recently underwent a hunger strike of eleven days as a protest against their treatment in Mountjoy Prison, Dublin, he has instructed the prison authorities to provide adequate hospital treatment to prevent serious aftereffects, and if he will state what instructions have been issued in this case.

The Minister for Justice (Mr. Fitzgerald-Kenney): No special instructions have been issued in this case.
