Dáil Éireann - Volume 39 - 18 June, 1931 Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Laragh River (Co. Cavan). Mr. Cole Mr. Cole Mr. Cole asked the Minister for Finance if it is intended to erect a bridge over Laragh River, Co. Cavan. Mr. Bourke Mr. Bourke Mr. Bourke: There are several bridges over the Laragh River, Co. Cavan, and I am unable to identify the one referred to by the Deputy. In any event it is not proposed to do any drainage works on the Laragh River. Mr. Cole Mr. Cole Mr. Cole: Is the Parliamentary Secretary aware that a considerable amount of money has already been spent on this bridge? As a matter of fact, the timber for the erection of the bridge has been on the lands of neighbouring farmers for the last three or four years. The sand and stone and everything else required is there, and is the position this, that after all that expense it is going to be scrapped? Mr. Bourke Mr. Bourke Mr. Bourke: Could the Deputy tell me where the bridge is? Mr. Cole Mr. Cole Mr. Cole: Opposite Laragh. There is only the one bridge at Laragh. Will the Parliamentary Secretary make inquiries about this and see what is going to be done? Mr. Bourke Mr. Bourke Mr. Bourke: I will make inquiries if the Deputy tells me where the bridge is. Mr. Cole Mr. Cole Mr. Cole: At Laragh. Dáil Éireann 39 Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. Laragh River (Co. Cavan). Questions 19310618
