Written Answers. - Ballyseedy School (Tralee).

Tomás O Conaill asked the Minister for Education if he will state what is the present position with regard to the application of the manager of Ballyseedy National School, Tralee, for a grant towards the cost of erection of a new schoolhouse, and if he is yet in a position to say whether or not a grant will be available for this purpose; and, if so, when.

Minister for Education (Professor O'Sullivan): The application of the manager for a grant to erect a new school to replace the existing Ballyseedy National School, has been considered, and it is proposed to make a grant for the erection of the building.

My Department hopes to be in a position to allocate a grant in this case in the near future, but, at the moment, I cannot give a definite date.
