Dáil Éireann - Volume 39 - 10 June, 1931

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Electricity in Ballyhaunis.

Mr. Nally asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is aware that the town of Ballyhaunis is still without a supply of electric current, although a large number of business premises and residences were wired by the Electricity Supply Board in 1930; and whether he will make representations to the Electricity Supply Board to expedite the extension of the current to that town.

Mr. McGilligan: Economic considerations must determine any further extensions of electricity supply. An extension to Ballyhaunis will be examined [15] by the Electricity Supply Board in the light of such considerations.
