Tadhg O Murchadha Tadhg O Murchadha 11 [11] Tadhg O Murchadha asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he is aware that some necessary works, already approved of, were not executed under the recent Relief Vote allocation to West Cork; and whether he will have a few of the most urgent of such proposals examined with a view to seeing whether they could be executed under the ordinary Land Commission Improvement Vote for the year. Mr. Lynch Mr. Lynch Mr. Lynch: Grants have been sanctioned for expenditure by the Land Commission on all the works in West Cork which were approved for execution out of money allocated to the Land Commission from the Vote for the relief of unemployment and distress. Mr. T. Murphy Mr. T. Murphy Mr. T. Murphy: Is the Minister aware that a number of works that have been approved for a very long time were excluded from any allocation under the recent Vote, and will he take them into consideration? Mr. Lynch Mr. Lynch Mr. Lynch: I do not know what the Deputy means by “approved.” Does he mean recommended by the inspector as distinct from approved? Mr. Murphy Mr. Murphy Mr. Murphy: Yes. Mr. Lynch Mr. Lynch Mr. Lynch: Recommended does not always mean approved. Mr. Murphy Mr. Murphy Mr. Murphy: That is my mistake. Mr. Lynch Mr. Lynch Mr. Lynch: I understand the Deputy has in mind one particular work in connection with Knockmore, and I have asked the Parliamentary Secretary to look as favourably as possible into the case for that.
