Dáil Éireann - Volume 39 - 10 June, 1931 Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Resumption of Imperial Conference. Mr. Moore Mr. Moore Mr. Moore asked the Minister for External Affairs whether a date has yet been fixed for the resumption at Ottawa of the last Imperial Conference; whether the Saorstát Government has been invited to send delegates thereto; whether, if so, the invitation has been accepted; and what is the precise nature of the business to be transacted at the Conference. Minister for External Affairs (Mr. McGilligan) Patrick McGilligan Minister for External Affairs (Mr. McGilligan): The Conference which was to be resumed at Ottawa in the Autumn has now been postponed until some time next year. The trade relations between the Member States of the Commonwealth Group will constitute the basis of the discussions. No de tailed suggestions for the Agenda appear to have been made up to the date of postponement. An invitation to attend the Conference was received by the Saorstát Government and was accepted. Mr. Moore Mr. Moore Mr. Moore: The acceptance stands for next year, presumably. Mr. McGilligan Mr. McGilligan Mr. McGilligan: It was not put to us that way, but presumably it would.
