Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Civil Service Bonus.

Mr. Carey asked the Minister for Finance if he will consider that from [3] a certain date (say July 1st next), no reduction will be made in the cost of living bonus in the Civil Service where salary and bonus do not exceed £200 per year, same to apply to civil servants who are in receipt of pensions.

The President (for Minister for Finance): I am not satisfied that there is justification for any departure from the existing arrangement governing the payment of cost of living bonus.
