Dr. Keogh asked the Minister for Finance whether he can state the yield of the stamp duty paid on Stock Exchange transactions in the financial year ended on 31st March, 1931, and the two preceding financial years, respectively.

The President (for Minister for Finance): The yield of stamp duty from Stock Exchange transactions in the financial year ended 31st March, 1931, was £56,861. The corresponding figures for the years 1928-'29 and 1929-'30 were, respectively, £106,931 and £74,285.
