Dáil Éireann - Volume 38 - 13 May, 1931

Business of the Dáil.

The President: I propose to take items Nos. 3, 4, and 5 on the Order Paper, and not to interrupt public business at 9 o'clock.

Mr. Davin: Could the President say whether he intends to rule out for the remainder of the session the consideration of Private Members' business, especially the items already on the Order Paper?

The President: I should hope not, but we have to make some progress with the financial business and the Estimates before we take up Private Members' business. That has been the invariable practice, as the Deputy is probably aware.

Mr. Davin: I want to know whether the President intends to claim Private Members' time up to the end of the session?

The President: Not up to the end of the session, but until the financial business and the Estimates are disposed of.
