Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - De-rating Commissioners' Salaries and Expenses.

Mr. Corry asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the salary and cost of living bonus of each of the following members of the De-rating Commission:— Mr. John Leydon, Department of Finance; Mr. T.J. Flynn, Department of Industry and Commerce; Mr. James M. Adams, Department of Agriculture; Mr. J. Collins, Department of Local Government and Public Health; and Mr. J.C. Gregg, General Valuation and Boundary Survey Department.

Mr. Corry asked the Minister for Finance to state the salary and expenses of Judge Cahir Davitt, Chairman of the De-rating Commission.

Mr. Corry asked the Minister for Finance to state the total amount paid in allowances, travelling expenses, etc., to the following members of the De-rating Commission:— Judge Cahir Davitt, Messrs. James M. Adams, J. [929] Collins, T.J. Flynn, J.C. Gregg, John Leydon and George O'Brien, during the period of their services on that Commission.

Mr. Blythe: I propose to take Questions 3, 4 and 5 together. The answer to No. 5 is nil. In regard to Questions 3 and 4 I do not see that any useful purpose would be served by supplying the information requested.

Mr. Corry: Does the Minister refuse to give the information requested?

Mr. Blythe: Yes.
