Pádraig O hOgáin Pádraig O hOgáin 747 Pádraig O hOgáin (An Clár) asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state (a) how many houses have been built by local authorities in the administrative [747] county of Clare since the Housing Acts came into operation, and what is the total amount of subsidy paid to these local authorities in respect of these houses; (b) how many houses have been built by public utility societies and private individuals in the administrative county of Clare since the Housing Acts came into operation, and what is the total amount of subsidies paid in respect of these houses. Minister for Local Government and Public Health (General Mulcahy) Richard (General) Mulcahy Minister for Local Government and Public Health (General Mulcahy): (a) The number of houses approved for erection by local authorities in County Clare with the aid of State Grants under the Housing Acts, 1924-1930 is 30. The amount of subsidy allocated in respect of these houses is £1,740. (b) The number of houses approved for erection by private persons with the aid of the Grants under the Housing Acts, 1924-30 is 626. The amount of subsidy allocated is £38,938 6s. 8d.
