Mr. Davin asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce to state the number of gallons of petrol imported into Saorstát Eireann during the financial year ending 31st March, 1931, and particulars of the number of gallons imported in Saorstát Eireann from Northern Ireland during the same period.

Mr. McGilligan: The imports of petroleum motor spirit into Saorstát Eireann in the twelve months April, 1930, to March, 1931, amounted to 32,771,228 gallons, of which 1,234,031 gallons were from Northern Ireland.
