Doyle (for Mr. Shaw) asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the net revenue received for the past financial year under the following heads: (a) duty on bets at 2½ per cent.; (b) duty on bets at 5 per cent.; (c) received from totalisator; (d) bookmakers' licence duty; (e) registered bookmakers' premises; and (f) any other revenue. Mr. Blythe Mr. Blythe Mr. Blythe: The approximate net revenue received during the financial year 1930-31, under the heads named, was as follows:—(a) Duty on bets at 2½ per cent., £49,570; (b) duty on bets at 5 per cent., £151,600; (c) totalisator fees, £2,670; bookmakers' licence duty, £5,060; (e) registered bookmaking premises duty, £11,120.
