Tomás O Maoláin asked the Minister for Defence if he will state the total amount expended on the purchase of planes for the Air Force each year since 1922; the amount expended on the purchase of spare parts each year since 1922; the number of machines of all types at the service of the Army on March 1st, 1931, and the number of effective fighting planes in commission on the same date.

The number of machines of all types in service on the 1st March, 1931, was 21. The number of fighting planes in commission on the same date was 14.
