Mr. Aiken (for Tadhg Crowley) asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries to state the grounds on which proceedings for the acquisition of the lands of Farnane, Murroe, County Limerick, have been discontinued; and whether, in view of the existing grave local congestion, he will have the matter re-examined.

Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Lands and Fisheries (Mr. Roddy): The Deputy appears to refer to the retained holding of John Hayes, Junior, containing 92a. 1r. 38p., in the townland of Farnane, for which resumption proceedings are still under consideration by the Land Commission. The holding appears to have been recently assigned to William Cusack.
