General Mulcahy: The purpose of this Bill is to extend from the 1st October, 1930, to 1st October, 1933, the period inside which, in respect of new buildings or additions to buildings, the remission of rates to the extent of two-thirds will be given for five years. Both the Valuation Office and the Department of Industry and Commerce draw attention to the desirability of continuing the remission of rates in respect of new buildings. I therefore beg to move the Second Reading of this Bill.
