Mr. S. Jordan asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if the Land Commission will state the reason why the late Congested Districts Board did in 1914 decide not to make an offer for the purchase of the (now) John A. Lewis Estate, Co. Galway, Record Number S.1990.

Mr. Roddy: I am not aware of the reason why the late Congested Districts Board decided not to make an offer for the purchase of the estate referred to. There is no information in the Land Commission as regards any proceedings taken by the Board as the original file of the Board relative to the estate is not available.
