Dáil Éireann - Volume 34 - 07 May, 1930

Order of Business.

[1459] Mr. Blythe: It is not proposed to take Private Deputies' business this evening.

Mr. Lemass: Could the Minister for Local Government inform us when the official amendments to the Greater Dublin Bill will be circulated?

General Mulcahy: They will reach Deputies to-morrow morning.

Mr. Lemass: Is it the Minister's intention to take the Bill this day week?

General Mulcahy: To-morrow week.

Mr. Lemass: As Deputies have been waiting for the official amendments before putting down their own amendments, it might not be possible to have them in in time for to-morrow week. If that is so, perhaps the Bill could be postponed.

General Mulcahy: If any situation such as that arises we can make arrangements to meet it.

Mr. MacEntee: When is it proposed to take the Finance Bill?

Mr. Blythe: It is proposed to take the Report Stage of the Resolutions to-morrow. I think it would be a week before the Finance Bill could be circulated. We would probably take the Second Reading in a fortnight.
