Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Meals for School Children.

Tomás O Conaill asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he is yet in a position to say when proposals for legislation will be introduced to enable County Councils in congested areas to make provision for supplying meals to school children.

Mr. Lynch: A Bill enabling the County Boards of Health to make provision for the supply of meals to school children in the more necessitous areas in the Gaeltacht is at present in the hands of the Parliamentary draftsman and will be introduced at the earliest possible date.
