Written Answers. - Co. Mayo Pension Award.

Mr. Mark C. Henry asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is aware that Michael Cawley, of Shrah, Appeal No. C855, was awarded a pension on the 5th February, 1930, by the Lowpark (Co. Mayo) Sub-Committee, and if he will reconsider the matter, with a view to ratifying the award made by the Committee.

General Mulcahy: An appeal is at present under consideration in this case in which an allowance of a pension of Eight Shillings a week was proposed by the Lowpark Pension Sub-Committee on the 5th February, 1930. I will be prepared to consider any statement or representations [1660] which it may be desired to submit as to the claimant's means and a decision will be deferred for about two weeks.
