Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Vesting of Co. Meath Lands.

Mr. Matthew O'Reilly asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state when he proposes to vest in the tenant the lands (R.O. No. T.417/9) on the Taylor estate at Fordstown, Kells.

Mr. Roddy: The holding to which the Deputy refers (R.O. No. T.417/9), comprising 165a. 3r. 35p. of the lands of Fordstown, in the occupation of Elizabeth McGeeney, a tenant on the estate of E.R. Taylor, Co. Meath, will be retained by the Land Commission on the appointed day with a view to making [1659] application for an order authorising the resumption of the lands for the relief of congestion. The holding will not, therefore, vest in the tenant on the appointed day.

Mr. O'Reilly: Is that the only estate in that district that can be retained for that purpose?

Mr. Roddy: There are others I hope.
