Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Crumlin Sewerage Scheme.

Mr. Colohan asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he will state the reason for the delay in commencing the work in connection with the sewerage scheme proposed and passed by the South Dublin Rural District Council in Crumlin area, and whether he will take steps to have this work commenced as soon as possible in order to give much-needed employment in this area.

General Mulcahy: The plans for the work have been approved and the Council informed that the loan will be sanctioned as soon as agreement has been entered into between the Council and the Commissioners of the county borough for the discharge of the sewage into the county borough sewers. I understand this matter is at present under discussion between the two bodies.

Mr. Colohan: Will the work start before Christmas?

General Mulcahy: I could not say.
