Dáil Éireann - Volume 32 - 29 November, 1929 Business of Dáil. Mr. Lemass Mr. Lemass Mr. Lemass: I wonder if the President would be prepared to give Government time for the discussion of the motion in my name concerning the report of the Tariff Commission with regard to fish barrels? I think the Minister for Finance indicated during the debate upon the Down Quilts Motion that he might be prepared to do that. The President The President The President: It is my intention to move the adjournment this day week for the Christmas Recess, and if it is possible to fit it in, I shall make every effort to meet the Deputy. Mr. Lemass Mr. Lemass 1785 Mr. Lemass: I should like to put this point to the President for consideration: [1785] if the motion is to be taken in Private Members' time it will not come on for a considerable time to come, and I think it is desirable that the discussion on the matter should take place within a reasonable time after the report is presented. The President The President The President: That is what I mean. I shall look into the business before the Dáil very closely and see if it is possible to take the motion next week.
