Séamus O Riain asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he is yet in a position to amend the regulations with regard to conditions of employment, salary and pension rights of veterinary officers under his Department.

Mr. Hogan: All that I am at present in a position to state in regard to this matter is that it is receiving my careful consideration. Any change in the existing conditions would, of course, require the sanction of the Minister for Finance.
