Pádraig O hOgáin Pádraig O hOgáin Pádraig O hOgáin (An Clár) asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is now in a position to state what compensation it is proposed to award the fishermen at Killaloe, who are now deprived of their livelihood because of the operation of the Shannon scheme. Mr. Hogan Mr. Hogan Mr. Hogan: These fishermen have no rights which would entitle them to compensation under any of the provisions of the Shannon Electricity Act, 1925. Their position has to be considered together with that of the numerous other persons having interests of different kinds in fisheries along the Shannon. This general question is a difficult one, but it is expected that a statement on it can be made early in the new year.
