Mr. Davin asked the Minister for Finance whether he received a deputation from the staff side of the Civil Service Representative Council on the 6th June, 1929; whether the staff side representatives put forward certain requests as to the amendment of the constitution of the Council with a view to securing its better functioning; whether a decision has yet been given on the points put forward by the staff side, and, if not, whether the Minister can indicate when he will be in a position to promulgate his decision.

Mr. Blythe: I would refer the Deputy to my reply on this subject to a question by Deputy Anthony on the 30th October. The matter is still under consideration, but I hope to be in a position soon to make a statement in regard to it.
