Dáil Éireann - Volume 32 - 14 November, 1929 Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Payment of Reservists. Mr. Shaw Mr. Shaw 1260 Mr. Shaw asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware that numbers of reservists of the National Army [1260] have not received their reserve pay, which, according to terms laid down, should have been paid on the 1st November; and whether, in view of the hardship inflicted on those men, he will instruct that payments be made without delay. Mr. Blythe (for the Minister for Defence) Mr. Blythe (for the Minister for Defence) Mr. Blythe (for the Minister for Defence): Payment of reserve pay is conditional on the reservist reporting on the prescribed form, to the Officer i/c Personnel between the 1st and 7th day of January, April, July, and October in each year. In the absence of the names and addresses of the reservists to whom the Deputy refers, I can only assume that pay has been withheld owing to the failure of the reservist to report as required by the regulations. Reserve pay has been issued in every case in which the reservist has duly reported. Dáil Éireann 32 Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. Payment of Reservists. Questions 19291114
