Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Imports of Oats and Oat Products.

Séamus O Riain asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state what quantity of (a) oats and (b) oat products have been imported into the Saorstát for each of the months of July, August, September and October, 1929, giving the countries of origin of such imports.

Minister for Agriculture (Mr. Hogan) for Minister for Industry and Commerce: As the reply is in tabular form I will, with the Deputy's agreement, circulate it with the Official Report.

Reply: The following were the quantities of oats and oat products imported into the Saorstát in each of the four months July to October, 1929. The particulars are shown by the country of consignment. Information is not available for the imports by country of origin, as the regulations do not require the country of origin to be stated by importers.
