[711] Mr. Byrne asked the Minister for External Affairs whether he can inform the House if Belgium was one of the signatories at Geneva to the economic proposal for a two years' European tariff holiday.

Minister for Agriculture (for Minister for External Affairs): No international agreement has yet been reached in the matter of the proposed tariff truce, but Belgium was one of the States which was closely associated with the proposal for a tariff truce recently made at Geneva.
