O Dubhghaill asked the Minister for Finance whether the Tariff Commission has yet presented a report on the application made on behalf of the coach-building industry for a customs duty on imported coach-bodies, and, if not, if he can indicate when it is likely that a report thereon will be presented

[2] Minister for Finance (Mr. Blythe): The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. I understand that the Tariff Commissioners are now actively engaged in the consideration of this application, and that they have recently visited a number of factories. The Commissioners propose at an early date to hold a final public sitting to enable the applicants to reply to the evidence already given, in opposition to the application. It is not at present possible to give any indication as to when the report of the Commissioners will be issued.
