Mr. Aiken asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he is prepared to have experimental plots started in [817] the Cooley district. North Louth, this year for the purpose of demonstrating how best to cultivate as field crops raspberries, strawberries, peas, beans, and other fruit and vegetables.

Mr. McGilligan (for Minister for Agriculture): As indicated in a reply to a similar question by the Deputy on the 27th ultimo, the question of establishing certain experimental plots in the Cooley district will be considered by the Department in the light of such additional information as can be obtained.

Mr. Aiken: I wonder will the Minister for Agriculture be here tonight? I would like to raise the matter on the adjournment, because I think the Minister should have all the information he requires to enable him to arrive at a decision in the matter.
