Tomás O Raghallaigh Tomás O Raghallaigh Tomás O Raghallaigh asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state whether all the holdings in the townland of Ballymac-prior (Ventry estate), Killorglin, Co. Kerry, are vested in the tenants; and, if not, will he state the cause of the delay in doing so; and whether, considering that this portion of the Ventry estate was purchased in 1913, will he give an assurance that the vesting of it will be completed immediately. Mr. Roddy Mr. Roddy 628 Mr. Roddy: There are nine holdings on the townland of Ballymac-prior (Ventry estate), County Kerry, of which six have actually been vested in the tenants. The [628] three remaining holdings are being dealt with, and will be vested as soon as possible. Tomás O Raghallaigh Tomás O Raghallaigh Tomás O Raghallaigh asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he is aware that many of the tenants in the townlands of Oulagh, Croomcloghane, Glouneapee, Coolnagreena, Gortnagreenane, Droumleagh, Maghacoosane and Maum (Chute estate), in the parishes of Killorglin and Glenear, Co. Kerry, are suffering hardship because of the difficulty they experience in procuring fuel; and whether, considering the poverty of the tenants in this portion of the congested districts, he will direct that this estate be immediately vested in the tenants with the view to allotting turbary to those in the townlands above-named, who have none, and making and repairing roads to bogs where necessary; and to giving the tenants in this estate the full reduction in rents to which they are entitled under the Land Act, 1923. Chute is at present being dealt with by the Land Commission, and it is anticipated that a provisional list of the lands to be vested in the Commission will be published at an early date.
