Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - British Coins in Saorstát.

Mr. Lemass (for Mr. MacEntee) asked the Minister for Finance to state what progress has been made in repatriating the British coins recently in circulation in Saorstát [762] Eireann; the total face value of the coins tendered to and accepted by the British Authorities to date, and the consideration received therefor.

Mr. Blythe: The total face value of the coins tendered to the British Mint to date is £76,800, and an equal sum has been received in payment therefor.
